MOSCOW, Oct 21 (PRIME) -- The majority of international investors see Russia as a strategic market and plan to develop their business in the country, according to an EY report seen by PRIME on Monday.
According to the report, 91% of the polled name Russia a strategic market, and 85% expect growth of business in Russia over the next three years, but believe it will be slow.
A total of 95 foreign companies took part in the poll held in July–August.
Moreover, 61% of the companies noted improvement of Russia’s business climate and positively assessed the government’s efforts on its development.
More than half of foreign companies operating in Russia said the Western sanctions had a negative impact on business, the report also said.
